Zhongtai Cryogenic is an enterprise dedicated to the R&D and manufacturing of gas purification and cryogenic equipment, covering the entire business chain from R&D, intelligent manufacturing, engineering implementation, to cross-border delivery. Its natural gas purification and carbon capture GPP project in Shanxi was commissioned successfully on its first attempt on November 3, 2024. As of September 2026, the plant has operated continuously and stably for over 666 days, achieving zero unplanned shutdowns and consistently maintaining full load steady-state operation. It routinely processes approximately 4 million cubic meters of natural gas daily, with a cumulative gas source processed exceeding 2.1 billion cubic meters. Through field engineering validation of this project, the company has distilled its process and engineering experience into replicable integrated technical solutions, which are exported globally as engineering equipment and integrated technical services.

GPP : Resource Utilization of Idle Gas Sources

In global natural gas development, a significant amount of idle gas sources, such as wellhead gas, associated gas, and flare gas, are difficult to feed directly into pipeline transmission or liquefaction processes due to their complex composition and low quality. These sources have long faced challenges of venting or inefficient utilization. Such gas sources generally exhibit characteristics of wide fluctuations in inlet flow rate, variable pressure and temperature, and complex compositions. In addition to methane, the feed gas contains considerable amounts of C2, C3+, heavy hydrocarbons, free water, acid components (carbon dioxide, hydrogen sulfide, organic sulfur), nitrogen, helium, and sand particles. Without treatment, they are unsuitable for pipeline transmission, liquefaction, or meeting product specifications.
Zhongtai Cryogenic GPP integrated plant can achieve the recovery and purification of hydrocarbons and associated valuable components from the aforementioned gas sources. This includes C2, C3, LPG, condensate oil, helium, carbon dioxide, and methane. Its modular and skid-mounted proprietary equipment covers the entire process units, including three-phase separation, compression, desulfurization, carbon dioxide purification and recovery, dehydration, nitrogen removal, C2/C3 purification and recovery, LPG/condensate oil recovery, helium enrichment, and methane liquefaction and purification. For high-sulfur gas sources, simultaneous sulfur recovery can be implemented. Product purity levels are as follows: light hydrocarbons can reach commercial grade, liquid/solid carbon dioxide can reach food grade, ultra-high purity liquid methane can reach up to 6N grade, and ultra-high purity helium can reach up to 6N grade, thereby achieving maximum resource utilization and emission reduction benefits. Based on the modular process design concept, the plant can flexibly adjust equipment configurations according to gas quality and operating conditions, possessing broad and excellent adaptability to operating conditions, ensuring long-term stable operation and continuous production of qualified products. Customized GPP integrated engineering solutions can also be provided for special regions and conditions such as high altitude, high temperature, and high humidity.

Modular Skids for Global Delivery

The value of process technology is ultimately realized through engineering delivery. Under the traditional on-site construction model, large modules require complex on-site assembly and have long construction periods, with uncertainties in equipment quality control. If applied to overseas engineering projects, the conflict between construction period and quality will be further exacerbated.
Zhongtai Cryogenic promotes a modular skid-based engineering implementation paradigm. GPP natural gas processing plants and various cryogenic integrated equipment can be pre-fabricated, assembled, and tested for overall performance at the factory. After integration into the dock system, they are shipped overseas as complete units for rapid commissioning upon arrival. By completing the vast majority of commissioning and quality inspection procedures in the controlled factory environment, the on-site operation and construction period is significantly compressed, effectively ensuring equipment delivery quality. This is particularly important for overseas small and medium-sized gas field projects with dispersed gas sources and tight deadlines.
Two port-adjacent intelligent manufacturing bases build a tiered ocean delivery system: The Fuyang Dongzhou base is equipped with a 2,000-ton class berth, focusing on the manufacturing and commissioning of small and medium-sized skid-mounted modules, undertaking domestic and international small and medium-sized GPP and cryogenic plant engineering projects. The Jingjiang base, with its 15,000-ton class berth, handles the assembly of ultra-large integrated equipment, heavy-duty loading and unloading, and cross-border shipments, possessing overseas large-scale EPC general contracting capabilities. These two bases complement each other and operate synergistically, covering the delivery needs of integrated equipment of different scales. Supported by port heavy-duty infrastructure, they provide robust and reliable hardware guarantees for equipment crossing the oceans.

Idustrial Closed Loop for Global Integrated Output

The core process package is the nucleus of the technical system, and port-adjacent intelligent manufacturing and dock delivery are important carriers for technology implementation.
Zhongtai Cryogenic has built a complete business closed loop of "technology R&D - pilot validation - port-adjacent intelligent manufacturing - global delivery," transforming from an equipment supplier to an integrated solution service provider. In the future, the company will continue to iterate its processes and expand its production capacity, bringing its field-validated mature equipment to the international market to serve global efficient resource utilization and low-carbon industrial development.
